Book Description: Braden Mack thinks reading romance novels makes him an expert in love, but he’ll soon discover that real life is better than fiction. Liv Papandreas has a dream job as a sous chef at Nashville’s hottest restaurant. Too bad the celebrity chef owner is less than charming behind kitchen doors. After she catches him harassing a young hostess, she confronts him and gets fired. Liv vows revenge, but she’ll need assistance to take on the powerful chef.Unfortunately, that means turning to Braden Mack. When Liv’s blackballed from the restaurant scene, the charismatic nightclub entrepreneur offers to help expose her ex-boss, but she is suspicious of his motives. He’ll need to call in reinforcements: the Bromance Book Club. Inspired by the romantic suspense novel they’re reading, the book club assists Liv in setting up a sting operation to take down the chef. But they’re just as eager to help Mack figure out the way to Liv’s heart… even though she’s determined to squelch the sparks between them before she gets burned.

I received this book as an ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I delved right into the second one in this series because I really liked the little bit of Braden Mack int he first so I was interested to hear his story, especially when you learn his is going to fall for Liv; the sister of Thea from the first one. You learn a little about Liv’s background from the first because of what you learn about Thea and their parents in the first so you already know a little when you are going into this.

This one definitely kept the humor going and I once again was laughing out loud at the crazy things that happen with the Bromance Bookclub. I liked this book more than the first one. I thought that it flowed better, maybe part of it was that we didn’t have the breaks of reading the book they are reading in between the story. I also think it was more action packed. They were not only trying to help Braden get together with Liv, but there was an actual thing they were all working together to help fix. So you really got to see them all work together and I think that made it more exciting.

The writing was well done and the story flowed nicely. The one thing I found though that I think should have been included was Gavin’s stutter. He didn’t do it a lot in the first book, but he still did it sometimes when you talked with the guys and in this book he didn’t stutter once. So I just felt like he needed to do it a couple times to keep with how it was set up. I again really enjoyed this story and it kept me entertained and wanting to find out how they were going to take down Liv’s ex-boss.

I thought the characters were well written. I like that there was a backstory to what made Liv how she is and also what made Braden who he is. I really do like all of the guys in the Bromance Bookclub and I liked seeing more of their personalities; especially the Russian he just makes me laugh. I like that we were introduced to a couple of new people and hope to see more of them in the series.

This series is really fun and I am excited to get to read the third one!
