This is the second book in the Insanity series by Cameron Jace. It is about a mad Wonderland. I stumbled across this one day and thought hey this series sounds like a fun different read. I have so far really enjoyed it!

Description:

After her encounter with the Cheshire Cat, Alice Wonder can hardly tell reality from imagination. But when kids have their head chopped off and stuffed in watermelons all over the city, it’s clear that another Wonderland Monster has arrived, possibly scarier than the Cheshire. Alice, along with Professor Pillar, have to solve the killer’s puzzles before a horrible event threatens the death of millions. Then Jack Diamonds appears again. This time, Alice must know who he really is.

The first book in this series was great it kept me hanging on and wanting to know what was going to happen and see if she was truly the real Alice. Book 2 did not disappoint. It left off right after the first one and once again you are immersed in this crazy reality of are Wonderland Monsters taking over the real world and is Alice really the real Alice or is she just crazy. I am antsy and I just want to know if she is the real Alice and I feel like she is but then you are left guessing. I also was surprised to see that flash of that Alice might actually not have survived the bus crash! I am like no wait I am trying to deal with figuring out if she is really Alice I don’t want to have to decide if I think she is really going to be alive or dead.

I love the banter between her and Professor Pillar it just makes me laugh, I love anything sarcastic. I also think it is just a good story line, it is fun, it has adventure, humor, thriller in that you don’t know what is going to happen. I love the general craziness of it it, like that the lady is so upset that someone eats her nuts she counts them and knows how many are in there. I think it is a great idea to make Wonderland characters be real humans. I really can’t wait to read the next one to find out what else is going to be crazy! I know I won’t be able to put it down!
